About This Role
The Ram Group, Inc. is hiring a part-time Supply Chain Specialist to support sourcing and supply chain execution across industrial machinery, material handling, and systems projects. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to manage suppliers, track purchases, and improve delivery reliability across a distributed project environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented procurement professional who understands how technical products are bought, scheduled, and delivered in a remote-first B2B setting.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or vendor management
- Experience sourcing industrial equipment, fabricated components, electrical parts, or technical services
- Ability to manage purchase orders, lead times, cost comparisons, and supplier follow-up
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple active orders and priorities
- Comfort working in spreadsheets, ERP systems, or purchasing and inventory tools
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for supplier and internal coordination
- Strong judgment in balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, machinery, or project-based environments is preferred
Your Responsibilities
- Source materials, components, and outside services needed for customer and internal projects
- Request quotes, compare supplier options, and support purchasing decisions based on cost, quality, and lead time
- Issue and track purchase orders, acknowledgements, and delivery schedules
- Coordinate with engineering and project stakeholders to confirm specifications and purchasing requirements
- Maintain supplier communication to resolve delays, shortages, or order discrepancies
- Track procurement status across open projects and provide clear updates to leadership and internal teams
- Help improve purchasing workflows, supplier records, and procurement documentation
- Support inventory planning and supply continuity for recurring equipment and component needs
