Accountant

About This Role

The Ram Group, Inc. is seeking a part-time Accountant to support our growing industrial machinery and material handling systems business. You will manage core accounting activities, help maintain clean financial records, and provide reliable reporting that supports decision-making across the organization. This is a remote role ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working with a technical, engineering-focused company and values flexibility.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environments
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and standard month-end closing procedures
• Hands-on experience with modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar)
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data analysis (Excel or Google Sheets)
• Experience with job-costing, project-based accounting, or inventory-related workflows is a plus
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage priorities with minimal supervision
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with leadership and external partners

Your Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
• Support monthly close activities, including journal entries and basic financial reports
• Assist in tracking project-level costs for systems and equipment installations
• Coordinate with leadership and external CPA partners on tax filings and compliance items
• Monitor cash flow, flag variances, and provide basic financial insights as needed
• Maintain organized digital records and documentation for audits and reviews
• Recommend process improvements and help standardize financial workflows as the company grows
